Professor Tuija Saresma holds the position of Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Eastern Finland since April 2024. Her research focuses on hate speech, racism, misogyny, and populism, particularly in the context of social media. She has conducted pioneering work on men’s rights activists’ blogs and the societal impacts of online hate speech. Despite facing significant backlash and targeted campaigns, she remains committed to advancing critical cultural and gender studies.
