Dr. Tugce Balci is a Clinical Geneticist and Clinician Researcher at Western University's Department of Pediatrics, affiliated with the Medical Genetics Program of Southwestern Ontario. She joined in 2018 and currently leads the London site for the Care4Rare SOLVE project. Her research focuses on rare disease models, gene discovery, and personalized treatment strategies, with a special interest in neurological and hematopoietic disorders.

Research Interests: Dr. Balci’s work integrates zebrafish models to study rare genetic conditions, emphasizing gene variant interpretation, novel gene discovery, and translational applications. Her program aims to advance diagnostic approaches and personalized therapies for children and adults with undiagnosed genetic disorders.
