Tsui-Yee Chow, Ed.D., is Chair of the Department of Counseling and Integrated Programs at Adler University's Chicago campus. She is also Associate Professor in the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision program, where she serves as Faculty Director of Training. Her work is deeply rooted in Adlerian principles of social responsibility, equity, and advocacy for underrepresented communities.
Dr. Chow earned her Ed.D. in Counseling (Professional Practice) from Northern Illinois University, an M.S.Ed. in Counseling (Student Development in Higher Education), and a B.Ed. in Educational Psychology, Science and Mathematics Education, and Curriculum Studies from the University of London Institute of Education. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois.
Her research and teaching focus on multicultural counseling, cross-cultural supervision, group counseling, and interracial couple and family counseling. She is a strong advocate for cultural competence and aims to help counselor trainees examine their worldviews and biases. She promotes collaborative learning to empower students to create positive change in their communities.
Her recent publications center on experiential activities in career counseling, emphasizing cultural relevance and inclusivity. These works highlight her commitment to innovative and socially responsible counselor education.

Dr. Chow has been actively involved in professional service, including serving as President of the Illinois Association for Multicultural Counseling (2008–2009) and presenting at national and regional conferences on spirituality in counseling, cross-cultural conflict, and Asian American mental health. She continues to mentor students and shape future counselors through her leadership, teaching, and research.
She is affiliated with professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development, and the Illinois Counseling Association.
