Professor Tsibiridou Fotini serves as a Professor in the Department of Balkan, Slavic & Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia. Her academic expertise centers on Economic and Political Anthropology in South Eastern Europe, with emphasis on power structures, political economy, and intersections of religion, ethnicity, and gender identity.
She holds a Doctorate in Ethnology-Social Anthropology from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and has conducted extensive ethnographic fieldwork across Greece, Turkey (Istanbul), and the Middle East (Sultanate of Oman), producing documentaries on minority communities and migrant experiences.
