Trygve Tollefsbol

Trygve Tollefsbol is a Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds dual doctorates in Molecular Biology and Osteopathic Medicine. His research focuses on Epigenetics, Cancer Prevention, Aging, and Molecular Biology, with emphasis on telomerase regulation and dietary interventions. He directs the UAB Cell Senescence Culture Facility and contributes to multiple centers including the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center and Microbiome Center.
