Trung Dung Bui is a Research Fellow at Monash University's Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, within the School of Primary and Allied Health Care. He holds a PhD in Medical Studies from the University of Tasmania (2023), focusing on augmented reality technology in clinical tele-mentorship. His academic background includes a Master's in Public Health (Queensland University of Technology), a Master's in Dentistry (Hanoi Medical University), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Management (Berlin School of Economics and Law).
His research interests center on health technology innovation, medical education, telehealth applications, and project management in healthcare. He actively contributes to initiatives like the National Centre for Healthy Ageing’s Ageing Well Clinics and the Healthy Futures Hub. His work addresses challenges in rural healthcare access, palliative care delivery, and immersive technologies for clinical training.
Recent publications focus on tele-mentorship frameworks, AR technology usability, and telehealth solutions for rural palliative care. He collaborates internationally and leads projects integrating technology to enhance healthcare equity and service delivery. Bui is currently accepting PhD students for research in his areas of expertise.
