Norwegian University of Science And Technologyمعرفی
Trude Helen Flo is Professor in Cell Biology at the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, NTNU. She serves as Co-director of CEMIR (Centre of Molecular Inflammation Research), a center of excellence. Her educational background includes a PhD in Immunology/Cell Biology (NTNU, 2001) and MSc in Biotechnology (Norwegian Institute of Technology, 1995).
Her research focuses on host-pathogen interactions involving innate immune cells and pathogens like mycobacteria, HIV, and SARS-CoV2. Key investigations include intracellular trafficking, compartmentalized receptor signaling, pathogen-induced host-cell death, and developing multicellular ex vivo infection models to study immune responses. She also researches lipocalin 2's role in infectious diseases.
Professor Flo leads the Mycobacteria and HIV research group operating in a BSL3 lab with advanced imaging capabilities including Leica SP8 confocal microscopy and FIB-SEM for 3D correlative imaging.
