Troy Lee-Brown is a Research Fellow at the Defence and Security Institute, University of Western Australia. He specializes in regional security, maritime security, and international relations, focusing on the Indian Ocean Region and Indo-Pacific. He leads the DFAT-funded Blue Security Program, addressing maritime security in the Indo-Pacific, and edits the DSI Black Swan Strategy Papers. His research explores Indo-Pacific dynamics, littoral strategies, and climate change’s impact on security.
Education: Holds a Doctoral Thesis titled 'The rise and strategic significance of the Indo-Pacific' (2021). Advising: Accepts PhD students in relevant fields.
Research Interests: Maritime security, regional defense strategies, Indo-Pacific geopolitics, and climate change implications. His work aligns with UN SDGs on peaceful societies and sustainable oceans.
