Assoc. Professor Chris Rahman is a Principal Fellow at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS), University of Wollongong. His primary affiliation is within the Faculty of Business and Law. He specializes in strategic studies, geopolitical theory, and maritime security, with a focus on Indo-Pacific regional dynamics and international relations.
Rahman’s research interests span maritime security challenges in Southeast Asia, the South China Sea disputes, and Australia’s strategic partnerships. He has supervised over 18 PhD/Master’s students on topics ranging from Taiwan’s maritime security to Indonesia’s global maritime policies.
