Trixie Long Smith is a Professor in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures at Michigan State University (MSU) and holds affiliations with the Center for Gender in Global Context and the Alliance for African Partners. She serves as Director of The Writing Center and the Red Cedar Writing Project. Since joining MSU in 2007, she has taught diverse courses emphasizing writing center theory, WAC/WID (Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines), and rhetoric.
