Triin Lauri is an Associate Professor of Public Policy at the School of Governance, Law and Society, Tallinn University, and a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Konstanz. Her research focuses on comparative social policy, education policy, and social investment strategies, with a particular emphasis on Baltic-specific educational inequality dynamics. She holds a PhD in Government and Politics from Tallinn University and has held academic positions at institutions including the University of Oxford and Estonian Business School.
Education: PhD in Government and Politics (2015), MA in Political Science (2008), BBA from Estonian Business School (2001).
Research Interests: Her work examines educational policy design, distributive effects of education systems, and the politics of social investment. Current projects include EduPolB3 (Baltic Skill Regimes) and YOUNG-IN (Youth Disadvantage Mitigation). Methodologically, she employs configurational methods and quantitative policy analysis.
Awards: Winner of the ISCRC Best Paper Award (2022), AcademiaNet member, and recipient of multiple national and international scholarships.
Grants & Projects: Led projects on education policy evaluation (EduPolB3), youth vulnerability (YOUNG-IN), and equitable school allocation mechanisms (EEMD). Active in policy advisory roles, including Estonia's Education Development Plan steering committee.
Labs/Teams: Member of Tallinn University's IET Centre of Excellence and co-editor of Acta Politica Estica.
