Trevonne Thompson

Dr. Trevonne Thompson is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of the Medical Toxicology Fellowship Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Medicine. His work focuses on the opioid epidemic, fentanyl-related deaths, suicide prevention via paraquat policy, lipid emulsion therapy for drug overdoses, and rare adverse reactions to local anesthetics.

His clinical expertise includes emergency medicine and medical toxicology.

Dr. Thompson advocates for diversity in medicine, working to increase minority student representation in medical fields. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology (ABEM, ABMT).
