Trent Ross is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education at the University of West Georgia's College of Education. He joined the faculty in January 2023 after previously serving as Deputy Athletic Director at the same institution. His educational background includes a B.S. in Recreation, an M.B.A., and he is currently pursuing a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of West Georgia.
His research focuses on sport management disciplines including:
- Sport facility management and operations
- Economic and financial aspects of sports
- Sport communication strategies
- Event management in sporting contexts
- Coaching methodologies
Professor Ross teaches courses such as Introduction to Sport Management, Sport Facility Management, Economics & Finance in Sport, Communication in Sport, and Sport Event Management. He also oversees practicum and internship programs for students.
