Kim Thompson is a Lecturer in the Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education at the College of Education, University of West Georgia.
She holds a B.S. (1980) and M.Ed. (1982) in Health and Physical Education from the University of West Georgia. Her professional background includes retirement from the Douglas County School System prior to joining academia.
Her research interests encompass physical education, health education, sports coaching, fitness, and school health frameworks. She serves as Executive Director for the Georgia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (GAHPERD).
