Dr. Michael Ross serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Business Administration at Lancaster Bible College (LBC) and concurrently as Department Chair of the Sport Management program at Shorter University in Georgia. He holds a PhD in Sport Management from Troy University, an MS in Kinesiology (Sport Management) from the University of Georgia, and a BA in History from Piedmont University.

Research Interests: Dr. Ross specializes in NCAA compliance, legal issues in athletics, sport management ethics, and risk management. His work explores institutional sanctions, athlete rights, and governance in collegiate and high school sports. He also addresses mental health and diversity initiatives within athletic programs.
Professional Experience: Prior to his academic roles, Dr. Ross served as an athletic director, Basketball Development Staff Member for the Atlanta Hawks, and founder of a youth sport development company. His corporate experience includes managing community events and player engagement initiatives.
Labs/Teams: He leads the Sport Management program at Shorter University and advises his youth sport company, which focuses on functional movement training for athletes of all levels.
