Trang Chu is an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. She specializes in leadership agility, emotions, heuristics, and decision-making, applying insights from affective and decision science to enhance executive and public leadership. Her research explores language's influence on emotional and behavioral responses, particularly in decision-making contexts.
Education: Currently pursuing a doctorate in the Faculty of Brain Sciences at University College London (UCL). Holds an MSc in Cognitive and Decision Science (UCL), an MBA in Finance and Economics (University of Chicago), and a BSc in Economics (New York University Stern School of Business).
Professional Background: 25-year career in global capital markets, including roles as Managing Director and Head of Global Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank and Head of Financial Products Group, EMEA at Merrill Lynch. Previously at Salomon Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers.
Teaching & Roles: Programme Director for the Environmental, Social, and Governance Sustainability Programme. Contributing lecturer on leadership programmes, including Oxford Public Value Leadership Programme and coaching for Blavatnik School of Government's Executive Public Leaders Programme.
