Dr. Tracy Rone serves as Assistant Dean for Research & Community Partnerships and Associate Professor in the Department of Advanced Studies, Leadership and Policy at Morgan State University's School of Education and Urban Studies. With expertise in linguistic anthropology, she focuses on urban education challenges in high-poverty contexts.

Research Interests include: identity's impact on academic performance, intersections of health and education disparities, narrative methods in urban community studies, and strategies for classroom engagement. Her work has appeared in College Teaching and Transforming Anthropology.
She previously served as Interim Director of Innovation & Community Partnerships and Research Associate Professor at Morgan State University's Institute for Urban Research, where she taught sociology courses. Currently, she co-directs the Baltimore Education Research Consortium (BERC), a collaboration between Baltimore City Public Schools, Morgan State University, and Johns Hopkins University.
