Tracy Hussell

Tracy Hussell is a Professor at the University of Manchester, currently serving as Director of the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation (since 2019) and Domain Lead for Infection, Immunity, and Inflammation (since 2016). She previously held academic positions at Imperial College London, including Professor of Inflammatory Disease (2006-2012) and Senior Lecturer in Biological Sciences (2002-2004).

Research Interests focus on lung immunology, particularly how respiratory tract homeostasis is maintained and disrupted in disease. Key areas include:

• Microbiome alterations after acute infections
