Gurpreet Aulakh

Gurpreet Aulakh is an Associate Professor and Fedoruk Chair in Imaging Science at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Her research program bridges molecular imaging, immunology, and pulmonary pathophysiology.

Current investigations focus on neutrophil recruitment in acute lung injury, TLR10 signaling in innate immunity, and radiopharmaceutical development for infection imaging. She utilizes murine models, synchrotron imaging, and microPET/CT to study ozone-induced inflammation and SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis.

Recent publications demonstrate innovative approaches to quantifying lung inflammation, characterizing CD34 protein functions, and validating bacterial-targeted imaging agents. Aulakh's work advances diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for respiratory diseases.
