Tracy Ehrlich is a Part-time Teaching Professor at The New School, specializing in architectural and landscape history. She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and has been recognized with the Salimbeni Prize (2002) and a Smithsonian Institution Senior Fellowship (2016-2017). Her research focuses on Renaissance to 18th-century art, particularly Italian architectural and landscape studies. She is affiliated with the Cooper Hewitt Museum and teaches in their MA Program.
Her current project examines 18th-century architectural drawings at the Cooper Hewitt, supported by her Smithsonian Fellowship. Notable publications include Landscape and Identity in Early Modern Rome (2002) and articles in The Art Bulletin and Journal18. She has received grants from the Kress, Dumbarton Oaks, and Graham Foundations.
