Kelsey Eldridge serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Puget Sound, specializing in cross-cultural artistic exchanges between Byzantium and the Italian peninsula during medieval and early modern periods. Her role encompasses teaching core art history curricula and advancing niche research in material culture.

Research spans Byzantine material culture through the lens of imperial imitation, with hands-on expertise in numismatics (coins) and sigillography (seals) developed during positions at Harvard Art Museum and Dumbarton Oaks. Her dissertation Imitations of Empire: Porphyry Sarcophagi in Byzantium and Beyond interrogates how Roman imperial funerary art was adapted across Byzantine territories.
