Tracey Nickola is an Associate Professor in the Pharmacy Department at Shenandoah University, located in the Health Professions Building. She holds a PhD in Pathology from University of Buffalo and MS in Biochemistry from SUNY Fredonia.
Her research investigates cytokine-mediated regulation in pediatric airway diseases (asthma, cystic fibrosis) and transplants, with additional focus on neuropharmacology mechanisms. She founded the GO GIRL outreach program to promote STEM diversity through mentorship and laboratory experiences in genomics.
Awards include an NIH NRSA postdoctoral fellowship, Pediatric Forum Research Award, and New England Biolab's Passion in Science Award for mentorship. Her teaching covers foundational scientific principles for advanced therapeutics.
