Professor Tracey Moore is a Professor of Nursing at the University of Sheffield's School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery. She transitioned from a clinical nursing career in adult acute care, critical care, and high dependency settings to academic roles focused on education and research in healthcare quality and patient safety.

Her research centers on ward nurses' recognition of and response to patient deterioration, including the development and evaluation of track-and-trigger systems. She has led international nursing education projects and contributed to operational standards in critical care through the National Outreach Forum for Critical Care.
Key publications include a seminal 2007 systematic review on physiological track-and-trigger warning systems in Intensive Care Med. Professional affiliations include Executive Board membership of the National Outreach Forum, Council of Deans of Health, NICE Clinical Care Guideline Chair for Tinnitus, and governance roles at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
