Tracey Heatherington is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia, where she teaches courses on environmental anthropology, food systems, and the Anthropocene. Her research critically examines the intersections of globalization, political ecology, and social justice.

Recent Publications address seed banking, climate adaptation, and the cultural politics of environmental governance, with fieldwork spanning Sardinia, the Arctic, and global seed repositories. She emphasizes ethnographic reflexivity and transdisciplinary collaboration.
