Ismael Vaccaro is a Professor of Anthropology at McGill University, with a joint appointment in the McGill School of Environment. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Anthropology from the University of Washington (2005). His research focuses on environmental anthropology, political ecology, and conservation policies, examining topics such as rural-urban interactions, climate change, and mining impacts across Europe, Mexico, the Solomon Islands, and Uganda.
