Toufoul Abou-Hodeib is a Professor in Modern Middle East History at the University of Oslo's Department of Archaeology, Conservation and History (IAKH), where she also serves as program leader for history. Her research merges cultural, social, and material history to examine late Ottoman modernity through domestic life, pilgrimage networks, and transnational intellectual exchanges.
