Torkel Klingberg is a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the Karolinska Institutet, leading the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience group. His research focuses on the neural basis of childhood cognitive development, particularly working memory, attention, and academic abilities like mathematics and reading, using methodologies such as fMRI, diffusion tensor imaging, and genetic analysis.

- Developed clinical training programs for ADHD-related cognitive deficits
His work explores training-induced brain plasticity and environmental factors influencing cognition, with a strong emphasis on translating findings into educational tools.
