معرفی
Tore Eid, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine, Neurosurgery, and Cellular & Molecular Physiology at Yale University. He serves as Vice Chair for Education in Laboratory Medicine, Director of Medical Education in Cellular & Molecular Physiology, and Associate Director at Yale-New Haven Hospital's Clinical Chemistry Laboratory.
- NIH-funded investigator
- Yale Clinical Neuroscience Group for Neuroanalytics member
- Yale Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science participant
Research Interests span neurochemistry, epilepsy, and minimally invasive health monitoring via biofluid biomarkers. His work on glutamine synthetase deficiency in epilepsy has transformed understanding of seizure pathogenesis. Current projects focus on saliva/sweat-based diagnostics for epilepsy, diabetes, and addiction.
Recent publication trends highlight neurochemical mechanisms of seizures, nicotine metabolism, and regulatory science applications. Key scientific awards include the Fulbright Scholarship, Thomas Buchholz Prize, and NIH Translational Career Development Award.
