Topali Pinelopi

Topali Pinelopi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social Anthropology and History, University of the Aegean. Her work focuses on migration, gender, domestic labor, and Muslim minorities in Greece.

• Education: BA in Mathematics (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), MA in Applied Urban Anthropology (City University of New York), PhD in Social Anthropology (University of the Aegean)
• Current research explores intersections of migration, gender identity, and cultural transformation, particularly in contexts of crisis and transnationalism.

Her recent publications analyze migrant experiences during the pandemic, refugee representations in Greece, and Muslim minority women’s engagements with education and reproductive technologies.
