Panos Tsitsanoudis is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Freie Universität Berlin, supervised by Prof. Dr. Thomas Stodulka. His research focuses on 'Deadly Intimacies, Gendered Deaths: A Critical Psychological Anthropological Inquiry of Intimate Femicidal Violence in Greece.' He holds a BA in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MA in Gender Studies from the University of Aegean (Lesvos).
Research Interests: Tsitsanoudis explores intersections of intimacy, (hetero)sexuality, and femicidal violence through critical psychological anthropology, relational psychoanalysis, and affect theory. His work addresses necropolitics in the Greek refugee regime and gendered violence prevention. He employs critical discourse analysis to interrogate societal structures and their impacts on gendered death.
Professional Experience: He worked as a psychologist in psychosocial support and has conducted research on queer theory and refugee crises in Greece. His methodologies blend theoretical frameworks from critical psychology and anthropology to analyze power dynamics and embodied experiences.
