Professor Tony Zhang is a faculty member at RMIT University, serving as the Associate Dean (Academic Operations) in the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences since 2024. He co-leads the China-Australia International Research Centre for Chinese Medicine and has held leadership roles as Discipline Leader (2011-2021) and Associate Dean (Allied Health) (2021-2024).
His research spans public health, clinical epidemiology, and traditional/complementary medicine, with a focus on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and clinical trials. Recent work includes evaluations of Chinese herbal medicine for chronic diseases and acupuncture in emergency settings.
- Notable scientific awards include an HDR Supervision Award (2024) and STEM Research Team Commendation (2023).
