Tony Briggs is a Full Executive Professor at the University of Alberta's Alberta School of Business (Department of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Management) and Executive Director of the eHUB Entrepreneurship Centre. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and knowledge management under conditions of uncertainty. He holds a DBA from Boston University, an MBA from University of British Columbia, and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from University of Alberta.

Research Interests: Examines how novel information sharing, uncertain property rights, and knowledge accumulation shape entrepreneurial opportunities. Current projects include AI entrepreneurial ecosystems, gender stereotypes in venture pitching, and university impact studies.
Awards: 2014 Donald and Margaret MacKenzie Undergraduate Distinguished Teaching Award.
Teaching: Teaches Entrepreneurship and Strategy at both Executive MBA and undergraduate levels, including courses like Strategic Management of Innovation and Business Strategy Capstone.
Professional Experience: Former patent licensing officer at Harvard Medical School, consultant for SBIR grant companies, and co-founder of eHUB and Venture Mentoring Service at UAlberta.
