Michael Lounsbury is a Professor of Business Strategy & Entrepreneurship (part-time) at the Australian National University (ANU) and holds a primary appointment as a Professor at the University of Alberta School of Business. He also serves as the A.F (Chip) Collins Chair, Chair of the Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Management Department, and Academic Director of the eHUB entrepreneurship centre. His research focuses on institutional change, entrepreneurial dynamics, and the emergence of new industries. Lounsbury obtained his Ph.D. in Sociology and Organization Behavior from Northwestern University in 1999.
