Dr. Tonjes Veenstra is a Researcher and Research Associate at the Leibniz Centre for General Linguistics (ZAS) in Berlin, focusing on linguistic theory and sociolinguistics. He leads the DFG project A02 on speaker choice in creole communities (Bislama/Morisien) within the SFB 1412 'Register' research initiative. As a founding member of SEEPiCLA and President of IACPL, he bridges creole studies with postcolonial linguistics.
