Tonia Carless is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), affiliated with the Faculty of Environment and Technology and the Department of Architecture & Built Environment. Her research focuses on spatial politics, architectural drawing, and the socio-spatial implications of wholesale building relocation practices in Northern Sweden. She holds a practice-based PhD combining Fine Art and Architecture, and is a founder of the collaborative research group Just Painting.

Labs/Teams: Active member of UWE's Architecture Research Group and co-lead of the Just Painting collective, producing photobooks like Wide Load: A House Moved. Research outputs emphasize transdisciplinary visual analysis of socio-spatial dynamics.
