Dr. Tomás Magaña is a board-certified pediatrician and faculty member with dual appointments as Assistant Professor at Samuel Merritt University and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He serves as Medical Director for the Masters Physician Assistant Department at Samuel Merritt University and as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UCSF. His work focuses on vulnerable youth populations, including those impacted by the juvenile justice and foster care systems.

Dr. Magaña’s research spans adolescent medicine, public health, and healthcare workforce development.
