معرفی
Tomislav Terzić, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Physics, University of Rijeka. He serves as Head of the Division of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics. His research focuses on gamma-astronomy (via MAGIC and CTA collaborations), astroparticle physics, and quantum gravity phenomenology.
- Education: PhD in Physics (2015, University of Zagreb), MSc in Physics (2007, University of Zagreb).
- Professional Experience: Postdoctoral fellow (2015–2017), Assistant Professor (2017–2022), Associate Professor since 2022.
Research interests include gamma-ray astronomy, Lorentz invariance violation studies, and active galactic nuclei. He has contributed to MAGIC collaboration analyses of GRBs and blazars, and CTA observatory development. Over 200 peer-reviewed publications highlight his work on cosmic ray acceleration, multi-messenger astrophysics, and quantum gravity tests. No awards explicitly listed, but his extensive publication record reflects recognition in the field.
Advising: No listed students, but supervises postgraduate research through his faculty role. Grants and collaborations include MAGIC, CTA, and SWGO projects. Active in science communication.
