Tomasz Baj is an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacognosy with the Medicinal Plant Garden, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Lublin. His career spans over two decades, with a doctoral degree earned in 2002 and a habilitation (DSc) in pharmacology and pharmacy.
His research focuses on the chemistry and pharmacological properties of plant-derived compounds, including essential oils, phenolic acids, polyphenols, and antioxidants. He specializes in analytical techniques like HPLC and chromatography, with a particular emphasis on the bioactivity of medicinal plants, volatile compounds, and herbal nutrition.
