Tom Sleutels

Dr. Tom Sleutels is an academic researcher at the University of Groningen (RUG), affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Engineering and Technology Institute Groningen. He holds a PhD in Environmental Technology and an MSc in Bioprocess Engineering from Wageningen University. His work focuses on (bio)electrochemistry, bioprocess technology, and environmental engineering, particularly in recovering energy and resources using microorganisms and renewable electricity. He splits his time between the University of Groningen and Wetsus, the European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology, where he serves as a scientific project manager.
