Professor Tom McMillan is an Honorary Professor at the University of Glasgow's School of Health & Wellbeing, specializing in traumatic brain injury (TBI) outcomes and its intersections with criminal justice. His work focuses on understanding TBI's long-term effects on cognitive function, disability, and criminal behavior, particularly in vulnerable populations like prisoners and refugees. He co-developed the Glasgow Outcome at Discharge Scale (GODS), a clinical tool for assessing TBI-related disability near hospital discharge.
