Tom Mays is a Professor of Music Technology at the Conservatoire et Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg (Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin) and a doctoral student in Musicology at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis. His career spans 30 years of composition, teaching, and research in real-time music systems. He specializes in electronic instrument design, interactive installations, and the integration of digital tools into acoustic performance. Current affiliations include the LabEx GREAM research group and teaching roles in composition and sound design.
Education: B.A. in Composition (1990, San José State University), Master's in Arts (2010, Paris 8), ongoing PhD in Musicology (Paris 8).
