Jean-Marc Chouvel is a Professor of Musicology at the University of Reims since 1997, with a focus on cognitive analysis, aesthetics, and interdisciplinary connections between music and other arts. He holds a habilitation to supervise research (HDR) from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1996) and has directed editorial collections at Delatour France, including Quatuor and Musique/Transversale.
His research spans axes such as:
