Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tolga Çelik is a civil engineer at the Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Department of Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU). He currently serves as the director of the Construction Management & Technology program, teaching engineering economics, construction, and project management courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Dr. Çelik was born in April 1987 in Loughborough, UK, and has been a faculty member at EMU since September 2015.

Dr. Çelik’s research focuses on Building Information Modeling (BIM), construction project risk management, sustainable construction, and artificial intelligence applications in real estate and construction management. He has supervised numerous PhD and Master’s theses addressing cost overruns, rework mitigation, and BIM implementation barriers in global construction industries.
Scientific Achievements:
- Participated in a Marie Curie project under the EU’s Seventh Framework Program, focusing on urban regeneration and accessibility
- Active in academic research, thesis supervision, and serving as a reviewer/editor for construction technology journals
Dr. Çelik has supervised over 20 graduate theses, including ongoing projects on green building improvements and labor productivity optimization. His work spans diverse regions like Turkey, Iran, Jordan, Yemen, and Northern Cyprus.
