Dr. Todd I. Herrenkohl is a Professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, where he teaches courses such as Program Evaluation and Applied Research and Prevention of Child Maltreatment. He holds a PhD in Social Welfare (1998) and an MSW (1993) from the University of Washington and Simmons College, respectively, and a BA in Social Relations from Lehigh University (1991).
- Research Interests: Focus on child and family well-being, child maltreatment, health-risk behaviors, substance use, mental/physical health outcomes of adversity, resilience, and public health approaches to violent extremism prevention.

He has contributed extensively to understanding intimate partner violence during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on marginalized populations. Current projects apply life history theory to pubertal development and examine physiological dysregulation in adulthood due to childhood trauma.
