Dr. Todd Hardy is a Clinical Associate Professor in Medicine at the University of Sydney and a Senior Staff Specialist Neurologist at Concord Hospital. He co-directs the MS Clinic at the Brain and Mind Centre, chairs the ANZAN MS and Neuroimmunology Group, and co-chairs the PACTRIMS Education Committee. He leads the Australian Susac's syndrome Database (SuSAD) and is a principal investigator on multiple MS clinical trials, including the FIRMS EBV Trial. He serves as co-editor of Advances in Clinical Neuroscience and Rehabilitation and on editorial boards of journals like Journal of Neuroimmunology and BMJ Neurology Open.
His research focuses on neuroimmunology, particularly multiple sclerosis and Susac’s syndrome, with expertise in inflammatory demyelinating disorders. Dr. Hardy previously co-chaired the Neurosciences Block for the Sydney Medical Program. He has contributed to over 150 peer-reviewed publications and holds grants such as the Brain Australia MRI biomarkers grant (2024) and the Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia lipid biomarkers project (2023).
Key collaborations include international multi-center studies on disability progression prediction and therapeutic response tracking. His clinical roles span tertiary care, guideline development, and rare disease advocacy, with a focus on improving outcomes for patients with neuroinflammatory conditions.
