Todd Drew is a Lecturer in Film and Theatre at San José State University, holding a Ph.D. in Film Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington with a minor in Art History. His teaching and research focus spans film history and aesthetics, with specialized expertise in second-wave Iranian cinema, crime movies, and Art Deco Hollywood.
Dr. Drew's scholarly publications examine the intersection of star studies, genre theory, and cultural contexts of film production. His current projects investigate dandyism as a cinematic motif and transnational influences on Hollywood genre conventions.
