Toby Westberry

Dr. Toby Westberry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University's College of Agricultural Sciences. His research specializes in ocean color remote sensing and bio-optics, focusing on marine phytoplankton dynamics, primary production, and biogeochemical cycling from cellular to planetary scales.

Research interests include:

• Development of satellite algorithms for phytoplankton productivity
• Marine bio-optical properties and phytoplankton physiology
• Ocean-atmosphere interactions and biogeochemical cycles
• Climate change impacts on marine ecosystems
