Tobias Yves Zintel

Tobias Yves Zintel (born 1975 in Passau) is an Assistant Professor for Video Art and Performance at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. He studied Concept Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Joseph Kosuth, developing a practice that merges film, performance, installation, music, and theater into a distinctive visual language characterized by grotesque scenarios, enigmatic actions, and melancholic universes.

Publications include contributions to Videonale festival catalogs and collaborative works like Done!, documenting his experimental practice across 2005-2016. Notable projects include Mental Radio (2013), Exit Ayahuasca (2016), and Action Unites - Words Divide (2012).

Labs & Facilities at KHM include the exMedia Lab, Animation Studio, and Interface Laboratory, supporting his multimedia work. He teaches within the Media and Fine Art school, emphasizing practical and theoretical integration.
