Tobias Pontara is a Professor of Aesthetics at the Department of Cultural Sciences, University of Gothenburg. His research spans music philosophy, film music analysis, and mediatized representations of classical music. He has led major projects like Classical Music for a Mediatized World (2018-2023) and currently directs Conspiracy Soundtracks (2023-2026/27), examining audiovisual conspiracy communication. He is a key supervisor in the interdisciplinary research school The Future of Democracy (2023-2027).
