Tobias A.F. König

PD Dr. Tobias König is a Senior Lecturer and Freigeist-Fellow at Dresden University of Technology (TU Dresden), where he leads an independent research group as a Young Investigator. He is also a Junior Group Leader at the IPF Dresden (Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden), focusing on Colloidal Nanophotonics and advanced polymer materials. At TU Dresden, he holds the Lehrbefugnis (venia docendi) for Physical Chemistry since 2021.

He also develops adaptive biomaterials at the Charge, Structure & Adhesion at Biointerfaces department.

His work includes collaborations with the Department of Physical Chemistry & Physics of Polymers and Macromolecular Chemistry Division, emphasizing polymer interfaces, scalable controlled interfaces, and bio-based materials. Tobias König’s innovations aim to bridge nanoscale carbon allotropes with application-oriented research in organic electronics and sustainable technologies.
